**What’s the role?**
As a **Commercial Services Administrator,** under general supervision you are responsible for providing support to commercial lending personnel for processing of loan and mortgage documentation. Coastal Community Credit Union strives “to be the leaders in building relationships that improve financial health, enrich people’s lives and build healthier communities" and it is your responsibility as **Commercial Services Administrator** to be the primary point of contact for members and carry the vision statement forward in order to build, maintain, attract and expand the member’s relationship with the credit union.
Your duties will include:
- Verify information provided by members with outside sources, e.g., income verification.
- Disburse loans and mortgages, audit loan files for completeness and accuracy, and advise manager of deficiencies.
- Obtain and disperse information to and from outside sources, (e.g., lawyers’ payout statements) on a timely basis.
- Prepare annual account reviews.
- Provide sales and service expertise to inform members of new products/services and changes to existing products/services.
- Identify and actively pursue internal referral opportunities to develop business; as well as work to achieve sales objectives.
- Obsolete mortgages, loans, LOC’s and security releases including closing of files, completing the discharge and rebating insurance if applicable.
- Answer telephone inquiries, assist with counter inquires, and perform a variety of general administration office support functions including report maintenance and production.
- Perform other related duties as required.
**What are we looking for?**
- 1-3 years financial experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience;
- Successful completion CUIC 185 and/or CUIC 200, and be actively pursuing CUIC Fellow Designation;
- Completion of the Level II exam
- Proven sales record, above average MSR Lending Level I skills, and demonstrated positive leadership skills are required.
Ideally, you are a flexible, collaborative team player with:
- Working knowledge of credit union products and services, administration procedures related to the processing of loans, mortgages and LOC’s, and the Banking System.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to articulate in a clear, concise manner is required to transfer information and understanding to members.
- Effective listening skills to and engage members/team members in conversation to understand and identify their needs to provide resolution through sourcing information and matching an appropriate product/service/support; as well as provide a referral to the appropriate individual to complete the request if required.
- Interviewing skills and the ability to ask probing questions are required, as well as having the flexibility to adapt to each request and move between a variety of member concerns/questions/requests.
- The ability to multitask with above average keyboarding and internet/computer navigation skills for searching on-line client data and product information while simultaneously conversing with the member is essential to ensure that members receive excellent member service.
