**JOB SUMMARY**
**Your Day to Day**:
**JOB PROFILE**
Specifically, the Career Services Coordinator will be responsible for:
- Developing external relationships to build practicum placements and job leads to ensure students and graduates are informed of openings within their industry within the scheduled timeframe
- Collaborating with Instructors to determine practicum placement experiences for students
- Contributing to and monitoring the quality of the student experience, including practicums and the job search process
- Engaging students in the work search process - tracking and monitoring activity
- Achieving the College’s targeted employment rates
- Ensuring campus compliance with policies relating to practicum placement, employment supports and documentation
- Supporting the administrative functions of the campus to enhance the student experience
- Acting in a manner that upholds the College standards
- Other related duties, as required.
**SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES**
**What You to the Table**:
- Degree, diploma or certificate from a recognized University or College in a relevant discipline (Degree preferred).
- Three years’ experience in a related field, such as recruitment or employment counselling or the equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience in a high paced, target driven enviroment.
- Manage large amounts of inbound and outbound calls in a timely manner,
- Keep records of all conversations in our systems in a comprehensive way.
- Meet team qualitative and quantitative targets.
**Skills and Abilities**:
- ** Career Counseling**: Proficient in guiding students and graduates in career planning, resume
- writing, interview preparation, and job search strategies.
- ** Relationship Building**: Strong ability to establish and maintain relationships with employers,
- academic staff, and students.
- ** Job Placement Expertise**: Knowledgeable in matching students and graduates with
- appropriate job opportunities and practicums.
- ** Communication Skills**: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for engaging with
- students, employers, and internal stakeholders.
- ** Event Planning**: Skilled in organizing career fairs, workshops, and networking events to
- connect students with potential employers.
- ** Technology Proficiency**: Strong experience with CRM systems, Learning Management
- Systems (LMS), and AI tools for managing student records and improving service delivery.
- ** Presentation Skills**: Competent in delivering presentations and workshops on career
- readiness topics to diverse student populations.
- ** Problem-Solving**: Adept at addressing student and employer concerns, offering timely and
- practical solutions.
- ** Multitasking**: Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, ensuring efficient
