**About the opportunity**

Reporting to the Director, Strategic Communications the Principal, Channel Management provides strategic and operational guidance for digital and web content and marketing strategies to support CPA Canada’s strategic objective and key messages. The Principal will play a leading role in the production of first-class content that is created and implemented for all CPA Canada’s communication channels. They liaise with CPA Canada staff and external stakeholders to ensure that communications, production process and digital communication channels are produced effectively, on time, within budget and to CPA Canada’s standards.

**What you'll do**

In this role, you will:

- Working collaboratively with the Principal, Content, develop an integrated strategic digital and web content plan to advance CPA Canada’s mission; broaden brand awareness of its thought leadership content programs, products and services and priorities; and increase the visibility of its content programs across key stakeholder audiences.
- Work with digital teams, IT, Web and social media and St Joseph’s Media to implement and continually optimize a communications strategy that will allow CPA Canada to cultivate and enhance meaningful relationships with targeted audiences, including CPA members and key influencers including digital news letters.
- Responsible for the strategy and overall management of online News, its production and digital communication channels.
- Work with leadership team and staff build two-way relationship to recognize external communications opportunities and solutions and define and execute appropriate strategies to support them.
- Provide leadership and oversee team activities to drive individual and team efficiencies and assess capacity. Mentor and develop staff using a supportive and collaborative approach.

**What we're looking for**
- A degree in Journalism, Business Administration, Marketing or other relevant discipline
- Minimum seven years of digital marketing and communications management experience
- Minimum five years of demonstrated people leadership ability to guide performance of direct reports and motivate team to achieve desired results
- Excellent project management and organizational skills, including the proven ability to handle multiple complex projects simultaneously with multiple stakeholders and against deadlines
- Thrive in a fast paced, on-time deliverable environment
- Excellent Communication skills both written and verbal and consensus building skills
- Proven Critical thinking and analytical problem-solving skills
- Proven ability to work through conflict, build trust, and influence outcomes through outstanding interpersonal skills at all levels
- Conceptual thinker with creative and strong business and financial acumen
- Excellent time management skills and attention to detail
