**Part-Time**:Temporary until end of December 2023 (with a possibility of renewal). 3 days per week (flexible days), 8 hours / day (8:30a.m. - 4:30p.m.)

**Position**

Habitat for Humanity Edmonton (HFHE) is seeking a temporary, **part-time Homeowner Services Credit Officer** to deliver services to the interested applicants. Participating as a member of the Homeowner Services team, this position is responsible for solicitation and information gathering of mandatory information as part of the mortgage credit adjudication process. The Homeowner Services Credit Officer will work with the Senior Manager and Homeowner Coordinators of the Homeowner Services to administer and implement the partnership and document signing between HFHE and the new homeowners.

**Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Promote the benefits of HFHE’s homeownership program to interested and qualified applicants.
- Actively participate in finding innovative ways to connect with potential applicants.
- Administer and implement the partnership, fixed-term and mortgage agreements between HFHE and the new homeowners with the Senior Manager of Homeowner Services.
- Support interested applicants and homeowners with HFHE’s homeownership program.
- Document all interactions, verbal or written materials, from applicant families and homeowners into HFHE’s database.
- Follow up on missing mandatory documentation.
- Complete landlord reference checks.
- Periodically host qualified applicants to view vacant homes, adhering to HFHE’s safety protocols for showing homes.
- Contribute to the development of systems and processes and follow through with their implementation, collaborating with other departments when applicable.
- Collaborate with the Senior Manager of Homeowner Services in assessing Homeowner Services program delivery.
- Assist with administrative or other organizational tasks as assigned.

**Qualifications and Requirements**:

- Have experience in mortgage credit adjudication and underwriting
- Effective information gathering and interviewing skills
- Display patience and understanding to all clients and potential clients from many different backgrounds (cultural, religious, and life experiences)
- Approach all people with kindness, respect and a non-judgmental attitude
- Have a high degree of ethics and be trustworthy
- Have strong interpersonal skills
- Have the integrity to strictly adhere to confidentiality of all HFHE information
- Basic to intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Have strong organizational and time-management skills
- Possess strong problem solving skill
- Able to work effectively and efficiently with mínimal supervision
