**Summer Camp Leader**:
The Orchards Residents Association is a not-for-profit corporation whose purpose is to manage, maintain, and operate the RA amenities while providing community members the opportunity to connect and engage in a variety of recreational activities.

**_Position Summary:_**
- Design and facilitate an engaging and interactive Summer Camp program for children aged 5-10 years with specific training, instruction, and support from the Program Manager.
- Prepare all materials and ensure all supplies are ready prior to the camp to ensure a smooth operation.
- Create, maintain, and provide parents with all required paperwork prior to camp start following training.
- Exercise safety awareness and practices after completing whimis and the organization's safety course.
- Design posters, marketing and lead activations to promote camps prior to camps beginning.
- Provide supervision and guidance for all day campers while demonstrating positive role model behavior.
- Provide first aid care when necessary and notify the Program Coordinator of the situation as soon as possible. First aid course to be provided by the organization.
- Handle and report to the Program Coordinator any problems, concerns, or emergencies that arise during the camp
- Provide exceptional customer service and portray a professional manner with training from the program manager and customer service staff.

**_Qualifications:_**
- Experience working with and supervising children from ages 5 - 10
- Experience planning and/ or leading engaging activities with children
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong time management and multitasking abilities
- Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team

**_Hours of Employment: _**
- Shifts vary depending on the needs of the facility. Combination of day, afternoon and evening shifts, on both weekdays and weekends until July. From July - August camp shifts will be between 7:30 and 5:30 pm on weekdays.
- This position will work 37.5 hours a week, 7.5 hours per shift.

**Compensation**:

- Shall be based on qualifications and past experience ranging from $16 - $18/ hour. This is a contract position. From May 1 - September 1.

**Salary**: $16.00-$18.00 per hour

- Edmonton, AB T6X 1W5: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
