We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Heavy Equipment Operator to join our construction team. As a Heavy Equipment Operator, you will play a crucial role in our excavation and sewer projects. You will be responsible for operating and maintaining various machinery, ensuring smooth operations and contributing to the successful completion of projects.

**Responsibilities**:

- Work under the direct supervision of a foreman or the client to ensure project objectives are met.
- Set up and operate machinery like excavators, skid steers and other heavy equipment, according to instructions and project specifications.
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and perform routine check-ups to ensure optimal performance. Monitor machine performance, identify any malfunctions, and make necessary adjustments to ensure efficient and safe operations.
- Grease machinery, conduct circle checks and demonstrate good operation skills.
- Adhere to project schedules and deadlines, completing tasks efficiently and effectively.
- Communicate effectively with team members, reporting any issues or concerns promptly.
- Perform other duties as required to support the overall success of the construction project.

**Qualifications**:

- Minimum of 3 years experience as a Machine Operator or in a similar role.
- Proficient in operating heavy machinery like Excavators, Skid Steers, Dozers and Loaders.
- Experience in digging basements, mainline experience, fine and rough grading is a huge asset.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve equipment issues.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and ability to follow safety guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Ability to read and interpret project plans, blueprints, and specifications.
- Strong work ethic and the ability to work well in a team environment.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining a safe working environment. This includes adhering to safety protocols, identifying potential hazards, and taking appropriate measures to mitigate risks.

Pay: $25.00-$35.00 per hour
