We are seeking a experienced Heavy Equipment Technician to join our team. As a Heavy Equipment Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing various types of equipment. This is a hands-on position that requires mechanical knowledge and the ability to work with power tools and hand tools.

- Perform routine maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance
- Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment issues
- Repair or replace faulty components using schematics and technical manuals
- Conduct inspections to identify potential problems and prevent breakdowns
- Collaborate with other team members to complete repairs in a timely manner
- Keep accurate records of maintenance and repair activities
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment

To be successful in this role, you should possess the following skills:

- Strong mechanical knowledge and aptitude
- Experience maintaining and repairing equipment, preferably heavy equipment and aerial lift equipment
- Familiarity with power tools and hand tools
- Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical manuals
- Knowledge of Skyjack equipment is a plus
- Experience pressure washing, grinding, painting and refurbishing equipment is a plus

**Salary**: $18.00-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 44 per week

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed

Supplemental pay types:

- Secondary School (preferred)

**Experience**:

- mechanical: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Trade Certificate (preferred)

Ability to Commute:

- Hamilton, ON L9H 5E1 (required)

Ability to Relocate:
