Restaurant Manager

**Job description**
As a Tim Hortons restaurant manager you are an energetic, enthusiastic leader who acts as a role model, encouraging their team to deliver the highest levels of hospitality to each of our guests. You are passionate about building and supporting a diverse team through training, communication, positive relationships and leading by example. Through training, support and example you will ensure the team’s adherence to all brand standards and procedures while delivering outstanding guest service. Your 2+ years of practical quick service managerial experience aids in your core competencies of recruiting, training and coaching your team to deliver on all aspects of operational excellence while overseeing the day-to-day operations of the restaurant.
**Operations**
- Communication with Ownership regarding all aspects of operations.
- Inventory management including ordering of supplies and monitoring food and paper costs, taking corrective action when needed.
- Responsible for adhering to all policies and procedures and standards of the brand, including completion of self-audits.
- Ensuring completion of daily logs, monitoring and correcting any issues.
- Open communication with Ownership regarding self-audit scores, challenges and goals.
- Optimizing labor costs through effective scheduling and floor management
- Being aware of and executing product launches and marketing campaigns.
- Maintaining guest satisfaction including resolving guests’ issues, coaching of staff to ensure highest levels of guest service.
- Ensures that all legislative requirements are maintained for the daily operation of the restaurant.
**Leadership**
- Responsible for recruiting, training and coaching of team members.
- Setting and encouraging team to achieve targets for daily/monthly targets/goals.
- Communicating with team daily, ensuring pass-on shift to shift through verbal and/or communication logs.
- Completing and monitoring positioning chart, overseeing and taking part in floor operations.
- Maintains high standards of the guests’ experience and instills this requirement in the team as a top priority.
- Ensures team is aware of and maintains all company policies and procedures.
- Actively engages in guest complaint resolution in a friendly, professional and empathetic manor.
- Provides leadership and direction regarding production planning as well as waste management procedures.
**Health & Safety**
- Has or will complete advanced food safety certification.
- Has or will complete standard first aid certification.
- Is familiar with and works in compliance with occupational health and safety legislation
- Uses or wears personal protective equipment or clothing as required
- Does not operate any equipment, machine, device or thing, or otherwise work in a manner that will endanger anyone
- Knows, understands and follows safe work practices and procedures
- Takes responsibility to ensure that team members are made aware of any hazards and that proper training is completed and documented
- Conducts regular workplace inspections
- Responds to and corrects unsafe acts and conditions
- Reports work-related injuries and illnesses to the appropriate internal and external authorities
- Performs accident investigations for all work-related injuries and illnesses
- Enforces employee compliance in regard to the restaurant’s health and safety policies and procedures
- Initiates performance counseling and takes disciplinary actions for non-compliance in matters related to health and safety
- Keeps the Restaurant Owner apprised on any conditions or practices that may pose a hazard to employees
- Makes recommendations for improvement to the restaurant’s health and safety practices and program
**Salary**
Variable based on experience.
Base salary plus bonus available for achieving operational metrics as set out by Ownership.
Please note that all applicants must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
