**Who Are We?**

Midtown Mobile Veterinary Hospice Services (MMVHS) is a mobile veterinary practice in the GTA dedicated exclusively to geriatrics, end-of-life care and in-home euthanasia. Faithful Pet Memorial (FPM) is the aftercare division of MMHVS and is the first pet aquamation service in the City of Toronto. FPM was established to provide MMVHS clients with a water-based cremation alternative that is more environmentally friendly than traditional flame-based cremation. Families can rest assured that their beloved pets will remain in our care throughout the entire end-of-life process and will be treated with the same level of respect and dignity in death as in life.

**About The Role**

**Responsibilities**

Your responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
**MMVHS Hospice Care Coordinator (remote)**:

- Provide compassionate support to clients navigating end-of-life care for their pets, both in person and over the phone
- Meticulously and accurately acquire client information and enter it into our practice management system
- Act as a liaison between our veterinarians and our clients, sharing pertinent information and communicating effectively
- Greet clients and hand deliver their pets’ ashes and/or memorial items, ensuring pick-ups are tracked properly in our system
- Facilitate drop offs of deceased pets, by appointment only
- Maintain the cleanliness/tidiness of the clinic entrance, the client areas (i.e. comfort room) and other common office/staff areas
- Bonus - enjoy lots of snuggles with our hospice centre kitty, Polly

**Requirements**:

- Highly proficient at multitasking with strong organizational abilities to ensure nothing falls through the cracks.
- An ability to communicate in an understanding, empathetic and sincere manner, along with a strong command of the English language (both verbal and written).
- Reliable access to wi-fi, cell phone and computer during working hours. A wi-fi connection of at least 30 Mbps is required.
- Have a quiet, private workspace - free of personal distractions and excessive noise.
- Resident of the Greater Toronto Area. Familiarity with the geography of the city preferred.
- High school diploma required, post-secondary education preferred
- Vet clinic/funeral service/aftercare industry experience an asset, but not required

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent
