**Environmental Air Quality Data Analyst**
Starting rate is $ 26.00 per hour, $27.00 after 12 months of service, $ 28.00 after 24 months of service.
Rotek Environmental Inc. has an employment opportunity for a Junior Air Quality Data Analyst. The position is full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm working from our Hamilton office located at 15 Keefer Court. Rotek Environmental Inc. specializes in air quality monitoring providing a wide range of services to both government and private sector clients. Rotek has a solid reputation for its technical expertise, equipment knowledge and field support services. Our firm is well recognized throughout the industry.
For over 30 years, Rotek has excelled in the installation, operation and maintenance of air monitoring networks and instrumentation. We custom manufacture our own line of air monitoring stations, air monitoring trailers and sampling equipment. In addition, we manage and support one of the largest rental fleets of ambient air sampling equipment in Canada.

The job description includes but is not limited to:
- Review and evaluate air monitoring data daily
- Identify potential problems and schedule services, liaise with staff and clients on issues
- Populate data reports, conduct QA/QC on data, investigate anomalies
- Develop and format reports for submission to clients and the MECP
- Reporting data as per specifications listed in the MECP’s Operations Manual for Air Quality Monitoring in Ontario
- Liaise with staff, clients and laboratories on sample deliveries and analysis results
- Processing and submission of air samples to laboratories
- Provide research on information as needed
- Participate in sampling surveys as needed
Minimum qualifications include:
- Post-secondary education
- Strong attention to detail, communication, organizational and analytical skills
- Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Ability to multitask and meet priority deadlines
- Ability to work independently
Preferred qualifications include:
- Post-secondary education or associate degree in Environmental Technologies or Statistics
- Previous experience in working in this role or similar work
- Experience in statistics, data entry or report writing
- Evidence of initiative, attention to detail and accuracy
- Experience with data reporting specifications as listed in the MECP’s Operation Manual for Air Quality Monitoring in Ontario.
