The Data Analyst - Finance and Asset Management will be an integral member of the Finance and Asset

Management team, responsible for developing data insights and reporting tools to improve operational

efficiency across finance and asset management. This role requires a detail
- oriented professional with

strong technical expertise to support decision-making through data analysis, modeling, and process

automation.
- Gather, organize, and update data from various sources to ensure accuracy, consistency, and availability for reporting and analysis;
- Support data integration and management processes across finance and asset management;
- Perform in-depth data analysis and statistical modeling to identify trends, inform decision-making, and support budgeting and forecasting processes;
- In collaboration with the Finance and Asset Management Team and other staff specialists, builds dynamic financial and operational models to facilitate what-if scenarios and scenario planning;
- Develop and maintain automated tools and templates to streamline data workflows, improve accuracy, and reduce manual processing time;
- Coordinates the implementation of solutions that enhance reporting and analytics efficiency across finance and asset management;
- Design and maintain dashboards and reports that provide real-time insights into financial and operational performance;
- Create both regular and ad hoc reports to support strategic initiatives, presenting data in a clear and actionable format;
- Adheres to data governance best practices to ensure high standards of data quality and compliance with finance, asset management and organizational policies;
- Conducts regular data audits to ensure accuracy and consistency across finance, asset management and organizational systems;
- Work with Finance and Asset Management to understand data needs and develop tailored solutions;
- Serve as a technical resource, translating business requirements into functional data solutions aligned with strategic objectives;
- Maintain high level of confidentiality when working with sensitive financial information, employee information and payroll records;
- Works safely, reports all workplace hazards and follows all YWCA Hamilton Health and Safety policies and procedures;
- Nurtures and forms meaningful internal and external working relationships and partnerships;
- Understands emerging trends, leading practices, industry professional standards;
- Continuously seeks out new tools, methods, and techniques to improve data processes;
- Supports YWCA Hamilton mission, vision and values;
- Performs other duties as required.

**WORKING CONDITIONS**:

- Work a standard 37.5-hour work week;
- Occasional evenings and weekends and travel may be required.

**Qualifications**
- Must have an undergraduate degree, preferable in Business Administration, Finance or in a related field or a combination of related work and academic experience;
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in data analysis;
- Background in financial and operational analysis, with experience in predictive modeling and scenario analysis;
- Experience in nonprofit or service-oriented sectors is an asset;
- Proficiency in Excel (including VBA) and Microsoft Access for data management;
- Knowledge of SQL for querying and data manipulation and Python and R for data analysis and modeling;
- Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., Sage Intacct, ) and their integration with analytical tools;
- Experience using Java for complex data processing is considered an asset;
- Experience with Power BI or Tableau for creating dashboards and visual reports;
