AIMCo’s is a dynamic and innovative company seeking a talented Communications Specialist to join our team. Responsibilities Include:

- Assist in developing and implementing communication strategies that align with AIMCO's objectives, values, and brand identity.
- Support the management of communication channels, including internal newsletters, website and intranet content, social media platforms, and press releases.
- Contribute to creating written materials, such as speeches, articles, presentations, and reports, to effectively convey AIMCo's key messages.
- Collaborate with internal teams to gather communication needs and support in maintaining consistent and coherent messaging across different departments.
- Help identify potential communication risks or issues and assist in developing appropriate contingency plans.
- Stay informed about AIMCo's strategic activities, investment strategies, and industry trends to assist in effectively communicating complex information to various audiences.
- Monitor sentiment related to AIMCo, reporting any inaccuracies or misconceptions through appropriate channels.
- Foster positive relationships with internal stakeholders, including senior executives, department heads, and employees, to support effective communication and collaboration.
- Assist in cultivating relationships with external stakeholders, such as media outlets, industry influencers, government agencies, and community organizations, to enhance AIMCo's public image and brand reputation.
- Support regular evaluations and analysis of communication efforts, gathering feedback and insights to contribute to future strategies and initiatives.
- Stay updated on emerging communication trends, technologies, and best practices, and provide input for incorporating innovative approaches to optimize AIMCO's communication effectiveness.
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field.
- Proven experience in a communications role, preferably within a corporate or agency setting.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a strong command of grammar and attention to detail.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute successful communication strategies across multiple channels.
- Proficiency in social media management and familiarity with content management systems.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Excellent organizational and project management abilities, with the capacity to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of public relations principles and practices, including media relations and crisis communications.
- A creative mindset and a passion for staying up-to-date with industry trends and best practices.
