**Job Summary**:
Plans, organizes, implements, and evaluates community-based recreational, social and/or educational activities. Encourages and facilitates individual’s participation in activities.

**Key Duties and Responsibilities**:
Plans, organizes, implements and evaluates community based recreational, social and/or educational activities to meet the individuals’ needs.

Encourages and facilitates individuals’ participation in activities; provides guidance and instructions.

Monitors and observes individuals’ participation in activities; provides guidance and instructions.

Provides skill-building to individuals such as life skills and social skills; models appropriate behavior.

Ensures the safety of clients. Responds to emergencies in accordance with established policies and guidelines.

Participates in the development of individual activity plans.

Accompanies and/or transports individuals to activities.

Administers medication as required in accordance with established guidelines, procedures and instructions.

Maintains related records and statistics and produces reports as required.

Maintains liaison with individuals’ families, other community service providers and professionals.

Performs other related duties as required.

**Qualifications**:
Education

Certificate in related human/social service field or recreation course or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

Must have BC class 5 driver's licence and driver's abstract.

First Aid certificate

Must pass MCFD clearance

**Wages**: $23.99 per hour

**Note**: Its a part time position. Mon/Tue/Fri

( Mon 2pm-8pm, Tue 2pm-6pm and Friday 2pm-8pm )
