Manager, Corporate Plans and Reports

Headquartered in Toronto, the Canada Infrastructure Bank (CIB) is responsible for investing in new infrastructure projects. The CIB’s mission is to work with provincial, territorial, municipal, federal, Indigenous and private sector investor partners to transform the way infrastructure is planned, financed and delivered in Canada.
The **Manager, Corporate Plans and Reports,** leads the development of the CIB’s Corporate Plan and Annual Report, two critical documents which communicate the activities and results of the CIB to the public. This role is a strategy function working in close coordination with others who lead investments, finance, risk, strategy and asset management. The Manager also owns the day-to-day relationship with the federal counterparts to manage reporting and other issues. The individual in this role requires a solid understanding of public sector planning and reporting frameworks, the ability to lead in a team environment, strong project management and relationship skills, and an ability to communicate effectively through writing, presentations and verbal briefings.
Your responsibilities include:
- Lead the development, project management and production of the organization’s Corporate Plan, Annual Report and other key documents, in collaboration with communications, investment, finance, risk, strategy and asset management leads
- Develop and implement processes to manage the tracking, monitoring and reporting of corporate objectives and related outcomes and results, including preparation of a regular portfolio report and contributions to quarterly financial reports, in cooperation with those responsible for infrastructure project investments and asset management
- Contribute to the development of the CIB’s climate reporting consistent with evolving requirements and standards
- Develop content and materials for public reporting and events, including market updates and the Annual Public Meeting
- Collaborate and build relationships with colleagues across CIB and with counterparts in government including Infrastructure Canada
- Respond to information requests, monitor policy issues and facilitate dialogue and engagement to resolve challenges
- Provide strategic advice to CIB leadership linked to planning and reporting, and opportunities
- Develop strategic summaries, dashboards, infographics and reports; develop and present briefing notes and presentations
- Understand and take action to ensure that the CIB pursues best practices and meets requirements based on government planning and reporting frameworks, such as those established by the Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat
- Facilitate and educate CIB colleagues on best practices in planning and reporting in the Crown corporation context, to ensure that CIB meets its obligations
- Contribute to a team dynamic and engaging work environment
- Carry out ad hoc projects and responsibilities related to a growing department and function
Your ideal profile
- 8+ years experience in public administration, public policy or a related field that is relevant to the CIB’s mandate
- Graduate level degree in public administration, public policy, or equivalent
- Strong knowledge of infrastructure and finance policy
- Knowledge of government and Crown corporation decision-making and accountability frameworks
- Exceptionally strong project management skills including an ability to collect and assess data and other source information, coordinate major projects and initiatives, synthesize and interpret complex information, identify and assess results and produce high quality plans and reports
- Excellent collaboration, writing and presentation skills
- An ability to proactively plan, prioritize and meet urgent and competing deadlines for multiple projects
- Demonstrated ability to manage stakeholder relationships
- Bilingualism (English and French) is an asset (training can be provided)
