**Position Summary**
The Clinical Education Department is currently seeking a Temporary Full-Time Clinical Coordinator, Education, who will join their team. This position will focus in the area of Critical Care [ICU/Emergency].
Effective date: October 21, 2024
Ending on or before: March 28, 2025
**Essential Qualifications**
- Current Certificate of Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario in good standing
- Baccalaureate degree in Nursing
- Minimum five (5) years recent clinical experience in Emergency, and/or ICU
- Demonstrated sound knowledge and/or experience with General Internal Medicine nursing required
- Demonstrated knowledge of Infection Prevention & Control standards and practices in Critical Care and Medicine
- Certification in ACLS
- Critical Care Certificate
- Recent teaching experience in both classroom and clinical settings
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience with moving best-practice evidence into nursing practice
- Demonstrated knowledge and/or experience with implementing internal and external (Ministry of Health) quality improvement projects
- Skilled in the principles of adult learning theories
- Experience in developing and revising policies and procedures
- Demonstrated ability to build relationships and deal effectively and co-operatively with all levels of staff, patients and the public
- Demonstrated high level of leadership, communication, organizational and time management skills required to manage the diverse education needs of the Critical Care (ICU and Emergency) and Infection Prevention & Control program staff
- Must have a thorough understanding of and familiarity with patient management in a critical care environment including cardiac monitoring, ventilatory care and central line management including cardiac/stroke (telemetry monitoring) and other general internal medicine conditions
- Essential computer skills include use of computer-based teaching aids, use of Internet for research; and must be proficient in Word/PowerPoint/Excel
**Preferred Qualifications**
- Master's Degree
- Canadian Nurses Association Certification in Emergency and Intensive Care
- Membership in RNAO and other related professional organizations
- Nursing or other related research experience
- Experience with developing and/or giving presentations (oral and/or visual) at conferences and/or workshops
**Hours of Work**
Must be available for eight (8) hour day shift. Start times may vary. May be required to work evenings and weekends. Shifts and hours may vary according to departmental requirements and as per the ONA Collective Agreement
