The Office Accounting Clerk is an important member of the MLINK Logistics team, as he or she assists with all aspects of our accounting needs in accordance with both company and provincial protocols.

**MAIN Duties AND Functions**:

- Bookkeeping duties such as monthly accounting, GST/ HST, payroll, etc
- Analyze information and options by developing spreadsheet reports, verifying information
- Prepare general ledger entries by maintaining records and files, reconciling accounts
- Preparation and completion of financial statements and tax returns for compilation engagements
- Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite with the aptitude to learn new software quickly
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and deadlines
- Communicate effectively and professionally with Owner / Manager, Supervisor, and Truck Drivers, as well as customers and other stakeholders encountered
- Demonstrate strong English verbal and written skills, especially confident telephone skills

**REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, skills, ABILITIES, and PERSONAL attributes**

The Accounting Clerk must know:

- MS Office Suite
- File management policies and procedures

The Accounting Assistant should be able to:

- Communicate effectively and professionally with Owner / Manager, Supervisor, and Truck Drivers, as well as customers and other stakeholders encountered
- Demonstrate strong English verbal and written skills, especially confident telephone skills
- Manage time, multi-task, and prioritize tasks while working in a fast-paced environment
- Effectively and efficiently use all features of MS Office Suite
- Demonstrate exceptional organizational skills and be an effective team player
- Learn and be able to complete any future training related to his or her role
- Demonstrate an eye for detail, thinking quickly, and self-motivation

**REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS**
- College Certificate, College Diploma, or University Degree
- 0 to 2 years of experience
- Bondable and Clean Criminal Record

- May be required to manually lift packages weighing upwards of 5 kg/10 lb.

- Required to spend the majority of the day seated in an office setting. Extensive computer work is required, which can lead to repetitive stress (from typing) or eye-strain (from computer screens)

**Salary**: From $16.00 per hour
