**About the role**

Cowan is growing, and we’re seeking a **creative and enthusiastic** Talent Acquisition Specialist to make a difference in our organization by ensuring we are attracting and securing the best possible talent.

Your role will be to lead the **full-cycle recruitment** journey for all types of roles and to work with leaders and managers in all lines of business, providing your expertise in helping them attract and secure the best possible talent for their business needs.

We’re a busy team, so **multi-tasking **and a **love of efficiency** are a must.

**What you’ll do**
- Develop an understanding of the business, external market trends, and their impact on the company and implement strategies to attract top talent through a variety of sourcing channels, (i.e., social media, job boards, and employee referrals)
- Partner with hiring managers to understand their recruitment needs and develop effective recruiting plans to meet those needs
- Increase Cowan’s employment brand by participating in campus recruitment strategy, including attending career fairs, developing relationships with key university stakeholders, and coordinating campus interviews
- Utilize data and analytics to track recruitment metrics and provide insights to the business on recruitment trends and opportunities for improvement
- Collaborate with other members of the HR team on various initiatives, including diversity and inclusion, employer branding, and onboarding.
- Assist in managing external vendor and/or agency contracts, relationships, and agreements to ensure exceptional service levels and efficiency of spend

**What does it take**
- 3+ years of experience in talent acquisition with a focus on sourcing and/or proactive recruitment
- Proven ability to develop and execute effective sourcing strategies to attract top talent
- Familiarity with applicant tracking systems and other recruitment technology tools
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with campus recruitment an asset
