**Talent Specialist - Health & Wellness**

**Location**: Hybrid Work arrangement with regular in-person presence required (Guelph-Wellington Dufferin Region, Stratford-Perth and Waterloo Region)

**Work Hours**: Full-time 37.5 hours weekly, with flexibility Monday to Friday on start times, occasional evenings and weekends as required

**Employment Type**: Full Time, Secondment (12-month Maternity leave coverage)

After three consecutive years of full-time service, participation in the YMCA pension plan is mandatory.

You will join a dedicated team of people who care deeply for each other and for the people across our organization. You will come to work each day filled with compassion and a high desire meet our teams where they’re at.

**What you will do**
- Collaborate with all Health and Wellness Leaders to support their hiring needs
- Support recruiting programs/incentives that maximize visibility and result in successful hires
- Determine applicant requirements by preparing job postings and recruitment materials
- Build applicant sources by researching and contacting community services, colleges, universities, social media and internet sites, making presentations, providing association information, participating in job fairs etc.
- As part of the People Team, you will collaborate and work closely with all People team members to ensure all recruiting processes align with our JAIDE (Justice, Accessibility, Inclusion, Diversity and Equity) commitment
- Partner with department leaders to determine applicant’s qualifications by phone screening, interviewing, analysing responses, verifying references, comparing qualifications to job requirements.
- Evaluate applicants by confirming and collecting their qualifications
- Support Talent Specialist & People Operations Coordinator with preparing all new hires for onboarding by submitting required new hire documents Track hiring needs, collect and analyse data, provide recruiting reports that meet measurable staffing targets
- Role model YMCA core values and promote the reputation of the Y as a great place to work
- Willing to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
- Represent YMCA of Three Rivers at all times in a professional manner;
- Carry out any other duties, as required

**What you will bring**
- Completion of College Diploma or University Degree and/or transferable working experience in human resources or comparable area; CHRP (Certified Human Resources Professional) designation in progress is an asset.
- A solid ability to conduct different types of virtual and in-person interviews (group, structured, competency based, working etc.).
