The pay range for this position is: $18.00 to $19.00 depending on qualifications/experience. Hours are Monday to Friday 8:30am to 4:30 pm. We do offer an amazing benefit package - including 2 retirement programs with company contributions, company paid health & dental benefits and an employee assistance program. Employee sick days and vacation time above ESA standards.

The Collection associate is responsible for the collection of outstanding customer account balances. They will also be the back up to our Accounts Receivable clerk.

**Duties - Collections**
- Manage collections, monitor accounts to identify outstanding debts
- Take actions to persuade customers for payments
- Monitor and report aging receivables
- Verify discrepancies and resolve clients’ billing issues

**Duties - Accounts Receivable**
- Daily posting of all electronic fund transfers in Canadian & US currency including credit card payments and cheques
- Statement reconciliation and account maintenance including resolving discrepancies through direct communication with customers
- Processing approved debit and credit notes
- Assist with month-end closing and report preparation as required

**General**
- Organize filing of all appropriate documents in software
- Other duties as required

**Technical Skills and Qualifications**
- Must be comfortable contacting customers and making arrangements for payments
- Proficient with computers, knowledge of Windows micro programs - Excel, Word
- Organizing / Prioritizing

**Education and Experience**
- Completion of a Community College program related to business or finance or accounting (concession will be considered based upon an individual’s job experience).
- One year of related experience

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $18.00-$19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 37.50 - 40 per week
