We currently have a **Regular Full Time **opportunity for a **Manager - Plant Operations & Maintenance position** in our **Plant Operations & Maintenance department** at our **Bayview Campus**.

**Hours of Work: Weekdays**:Days; 8 hrs; As per schedule (Flexibility required)

**Overview**:
Reporting to the Director of Plant Operations & Maintenance, the Manager is responsible for the operation and maintenance of hospital building systems and equipment at multiple sites and in a manner that provides an optimal environment of care for hospital patients and other building occupants. Additional responsibilities include management of the POM Call Centre, the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) and various projects.

**Summary of Duties**:

- Monitors and oversees complex hospital building systems and equipment.
- Oversees supervisors, technical and administrative staff.
- Implements operational and preventative maintenance plans that support hospital operations and reduce risk.
- Manages renovation, maintenance, restoration and infrastructure renewal projects.
- Prioritizes, assigns and follows up on required tasks throughout the Hospital.
- Ensures compliance with all applicable regulations, standards and hospital policies
- Advances Sunnybrook’s current position as a leader in environmental sustainability
- Provides recommendations to senior management on emerging technology, trends, legislative changes and industry best practices
- Establishes and monitors annual goals and objectives to ensure ongoing improvements in customer service, operational efficiency, safety and compliance.
- Regularly interacts with approved consultants, suppliers and service providers.

**Qualifications/Skill**
- Significant recent related management/leadership/technical experience, preferably in a health care setting
- Engineering degree/diploma and post-secondary training in business management is preferred.
- Extensive knowledge of hospital building systems and equipment in multiple disciplines
- Extensive computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) experience
- Extensive project management experience in construction and flood restoration projects
- Understanding of current infection prevention and control practices
- Facility management certification such as CFM, CHFM, CCHFM, RPA or FMA is preferred
- Project management certification such as PMP is preferred
- Demonstrated understanding of applicable legislation and standards
- Demonstrated leadership, coaching, interpersonal, communication and risk management skills
- Strategic thinking, analytical, decision-making and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated ability to respond quickly and effectively under pressure
- Computer proficiency (Word, Excel, Power Point, CMMS)
- Strong organizational, prioritization and time-management skills
- Demonstrated high level of Emotional Intelligence (EI)
