**Job Summary**

The Regulatory Compliance Analyst is responsible for the compliance of CN’s Canadian commercial vehicle fleet with all National Safety Code (NSC) regulations. The role ensures that all drivers and supervisors understand the NSC regulations and are compliant with them. Furthermore, the position monitors compliance and provides corrective actions to the drivers and supervisors, customizes the training material for CN, creates job aids, performs on-site training, and delivers online training. The position is accountable for acting as the key CN contact for drivers and supervisors to answer questions and resolve issues.

**Main Responsibilities**

**Compliance**
- Work with supervisors to maintain compliance and resolve any non-compliance with regards to qualifications, training, Hours of Service (HOS)
- Provide monthly and ad hoc compliance reports and improve compliance for

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Review driver abstracts and advise supervisors of “at risk” driver behaviour
- Ensure that all driver qualification documents are valid and filed as per regulation
- Review carrier profiles, report events to supervisors, and recommend corrective actions
- Perform random audits on-site or via documentation

**Training and Documentation**
- Deliver training sessions in person or online to drivers, supervisors, and delegates
- Maintain internal documentation, job aids, training materials and training modules
- Implement changes in regulations and processes
- Prepare and deliver compliance communications and advisories

**Data Maintenance and Quality Control**
- Monitor CN’s Road Compliance Office performance
- Perform data checks, correct errors, and advise Road Compliance Office
- Perform driver and supervisor status changes
- Review and implement any changes to CN structure (e.g., cost centre, owner)
- Complete data entry and internal audit of driver files, daily logs, and inspection reports
- Order, review and report on carrier profiles and driver abstracts and Motor Vehicle Records (MVRs)
- Build cases to contest carrier infractions
- Assist in regulatory and internal facility audits

**Support and Liaison**
- Act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME), support and liaise with Legal, Human Resources (HR), Training, and the Occupational Health and Safety departments for Canada
- Provide drivers and supervisor’s regulatory support
- Follow up with supervisors regarding accidents and infractions involving NSC vehicles and supervisors
- Provide corrective actions to drivers and supervisors

**Working Conditions**

The role has standard working conditions in an office environment with a regular workweek from Monday to Friday. The role requires mínimal travel (5%) within Canada for on-site training. Due to the nature of the role, the incumbent must be able to meet tight deadlines, handle pressure, and stress.

**Requirements**:
**Experience**

Driver Compliance
- Between 2 to 5 years of experience working in a commercial motor vehicle department handling driver compliance
- Experience with vehicle telematics and Electronic Logging Devices (ELD)*
- Any experience for these above would be considered as an asset

**Education/Certification/Designation**
- College Diploma*
- Valid Driver’s Licence
- *Any designation for these above would be considered as an asset

**Technical Skills/Knowledge**

- Strong understanding of Canada’s NSC regulations pertaining to the operation of a commercial motor vehicle*
- Fluently bilingual both written and verbal (English, French)*
- Any knowledge for any of the above would be considered as an asset
