**Position Summary**

The Research Associate is the lead Implementation Scientist responsible for the scientific designing of methods and strategies to understand barriers and facilitators and testing different strategies that facilitate the uptake of evidence-based practice for the Digital Health Pathway for Children with Medical Complexity requiring tracheostomy. This 3-year temporary grant funded position reports to the Principal Investigator of the DECIDE-T Project. This project is funded by a Partnership for Research and Innovation in the Health System (PRIHS) research grant from Alberta Innovates. The position is mostly virtual with possibility for a hybrid model.

**Duties**
- Conducts and supervise the design of implementation methods and evaluation at participating sites.
- Facilitates development and execution of dissemination plans with stakeholders including 1) leveraging opinion leaders (local champions); 2) presenting at multidisciplinary pediatric grand rounds, divisional clinical rounds, and academic days for trainees; 3) conducting small group workshops; 4) conducting one-to-one or small group meetings and summary reports for managers; and 5) integrating with Connect Care to inform and support clinical practice
- Develops summary reports of the different implementation activities of the project (i.e. focus groups, meetings with key stakeholders, nominal groups, delphi rounds).
- Engages with allied patient and public organizations such the Patient/Family-centered Care Councils (PFCCs), Alberta Lung Association and Hospital Foundations to support promotion of available digital resources created for the project.
- Publishes papers to peer-reviewed journals and conference abstracts. That includes opportunities to represent the research group at national and international conferences.

**Minimum Qualifications**
- A PhD in a health-related field (e.g., Community Health, Sociology, Psychology, Social Work, Health Administration, Epidemiology, Health Services Research, etc.) with a strong mixed method expertise.
- Demonstrated experience conducting implementation science study trials. Requires minimum 2 years experience independently leading large research projects, including proposal preparations, project coordination, and ability in writing and editing scientific manuscripts.
- Specialization in studies related to the field of implementation science.
- Experience with the principles of knowledge translation and implementation science, and building and maintaining partnerships with multiple stakeholders to achieve common goals.

**Preferred Qualifications**
- Ability to work collaboratively in an environment characterized by diversity, ambiguity, shifting timelines and priorities, and multiple projects underway simultaneously.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to produce clear, concise reports and presentations about data and complex issues and the ability to communicate with stakeholders.
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (including MS Project, Visio, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint). Knowledge in Redcap data management tools is an asset.
