Free parking and near transit stop.
Light refreshments provided by Tranquility Place Chartwell.
There are many volunteer roles that you can get involved in:
**Community Supporter**
Share your lived experience by attending committee meetings and supporting GRCOA projects. Have your voice heard
**Fundraising**
Assist with fundraising activities.
- Assisting with planning and executing an event (The Grand Parade)
- Soliciting sponsorships
- Writing grants
**Communications Support**
Create awareness and educate the community by:
- Developing and distributing an annual calendar
- Planning and facilitating community at home virtual workshops
- Tending a booth
- Presenting virtually and in-person
- Maintaining databases (Seniors’ Discount Directory, Info Hub)
- Creating/proofing marketing materials ex. Social media, newsletter, website
- Planning and assisting with community workshops
**Housing Committee**
Identify and promote affordable, accessible, and equitable housing options for seniors.
- Housing Guide for Seniors Task Force
- Identifying naturally occurring retirement communities (NORCS)
**Volunteer Committee**
Recruit and orient volunteers to the GRCOA.
**Details**
**Location**: virtual, at-home and in-person volunteer options available
**Police Check**: a police check is not required
**Age**: we need volunteers of all ages Student placements are welcome.
**Orientation**: orientation to the role virtually or in-person (30 minutes)

**Job Types**: Part-time, Casual
Part-time hours: 0-10 per week
Pay: From $0.01 per hour
Flexible Language Requirement:

Schedule:
- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Monday to Friday
- Morning shift
- Weekends as needed
