- Learns and executes product costing, basic retail math, and financial reports

- Ensures orders are processed correctly, guaranteeing scheduled delivery dates and appropriate quantity/quality assortments.
- Adaptability - Handles day-to-day work challenges confidently; adapts to change well by re-organizing their daily schedule according to priority.

- Developing a proficiency of the product development process - know the steps and time lines in building an assortment.
- Learning and demonstrating effective vendor communication.
- Assisting the buyer and developing knowledge and a voice. Presents and effectively sells ideas. Active participant within fits, approvals, and meetings.
- Develop knowledge of our brand positioning and competitive mix along with a deep understanding of our Customer.
- Resourceful and proactive - understand how to find answers / start learning how to develop solutions.
- When appropriate with the buyer’s coaching, assume responsibility for a class or subclass of merchandise.

**Qualifications**:
- Minimum of 2 years retail experience, preferably in a Buying department or similar position; knowledge and experience in Product Development required.
- Knowledge of APTOS Merchandising system
- Post-secondary degree in Retail Management or Fashion; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Must be a team player with good analytical, mathematical, communication, time management and organizational skills.
- The individual must be flexible, have a good sense of urgency and have good problem solving skills.
- Proven ability to interact with individuals from all levels within the organization
