Courtenay, Canada Custom Gourmet Catering Full time

Looking for a Catering/Chef's Assistant, Cooking experience an asset, can lead to a Chef apprenticeship. Duties include covering catering jobs from start to finish, jobs come in as contract work. If no catering, work can be done at our café to make up hours and experience. Will need to know essential kitchen operation skills, timing, creating and carrying out prep lists. Position can also lead to future Sous Chef position and partnership. Wage's based on experience, starting at $17 an hour with a 3 month probation period, then revaluation. Hours are variable weekly depending on booked work. Drivers license and a vehicle is essential to the position, company vehicle to be used for events, drivers abstract to be submitted with resume.

We are a family style company, and must insure a good fit with the team.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Casual, Apprenticeship

Pay: $18.00-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 50 per week
