**About the Opportunity**:
Currently, Taymor is looking for a full-time **Product Manager - Bathware & Plumbing** to join our team on a full-time basis in **Delta, BC**.
Our Product Manager - Bathware & Plumbing reports to the Director of Category Strategy & Execution and is responsible for introducing new products to the market and managing the Bath Hardware brand(s) and lifecycle in the US and Canada. From conception to commercialization and launch, this role coordinates the development of new products with internal cross-functional teams.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting with the launch of new products, including identifying product line requirements, conducting research, and developing and implementing project business plans that are strategically aligned with their product category
- Establishing cross-functional teams, launching new products, and developing business cases
- Managing the overall Bath Hardware product assortment, identifying and executing the appropriate actions at each stage of the product life cycle
- Working closely with internal departments on design specifics, marketing strategies, and technical and marketing documentation
- Through life cycle management, optimizing investments and expenses for product categories in collaboration with internal departments
- Developing, implementing, and managing the category pricing strategy
- Tracking regulatory changes, competitor intelligence, and technological advances that could impact product development and commercial success
- Conducting factory inspections and participating in annual supplier performance reviews to optimize relationship and operating parameters
**About You**:
To qualify for the role, you need:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Merchandising or a related field
- 5+ years of progressive experience in the architectural, design or plumbing industry
- 3+ years experience as a Product Manager, including plumbing and/or kitchen and bath products
The following skills and experience will be required:
- Full product life cycle management for multiple product lines
- Building teams cross-functionally
- Cost, margin, and budget management for product development, sourcing, and pricing
- Ability to lead projects in a cross-functional team and manage and maintain timelines of many projects at different stages
- Proficient computer skills specifically with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
- Basic understanding of financial management tools, such as costs, margins, and budgets
- Knowledge of primary and secondary market research methodologies
- Strong multi-tasking and time management skills
- Ability to communicate technical concepts and specifications effectively
- Demonstrated knowledge and ability to write business cases and reports
The following skills and experiences will be considered an asset:
- Developing products with overseas suppliers and factories
- Proficiency with SharePoint and project management software
- Knowledge of bathware and plumbing products
