**What responsibilities will you have in this role?**
- Plans, develops, and delivers professional learning opportunities and academic staff for faculty.
- Oversees the distribution and tracking of associated equipment to faculty and/or students.
- Assists with the curation and identification of digitally-based experiential learning opportunities, including simulations and immersive (AR/VR/XR) learning experiences and spaces.
- Identifies, catalogues, and coordinates the repository of the college’s digital assets, simulations, experiences, and associated equipment.
- Supports the design and development of new immersive learning experiences, such as the development of models, processes, digital 3D twin environments and other AR/VR/XR assets.
- Leads immersive technology pilot projects, such as those in partnership with eCampus Ontario or other colleges.
- Identifies technology to test, coordinating the recruitment and training of faculty.
- Supports the research and evaluation process, in collaboration with other members of the TLX team.
- Develops workflows and supports the acquisition, implementation, and use of immersive learning experiences and corresponding support needs for faculty.
- Participates in continuing professional development to remain knowledgeable and current within the industry related to new and evolving XR/AR/VR technology (hardware and software), as well as knowledge on legislative requirements associated with the use of immersive technology (e.g., AODA requirements, Privacy, copyright, and intellectual property).
- Coordinates with the Information Technology (IT) team to ensure learning equipment is available, clean, configured, and maintained for student and faculty usage.
- Assists with ongoing initiatives taking place within the Teaching and Learning Exchange.
- Other related duties as assigned.

**What qualifications do you need for this role?**
- Three-year diploma or degree or equivalent from a recognized post-secondary institution in Interaction Design; Computer Science, Gaming, Simulation and Immersive Technology; or related or equivalent field.
- Minimum three years’ experience in Creation and/or curation of simulations, and immersive (VR/AR/XR) environment with experience teaching and/or working in higher education. Experience facilitating professional learning opportunities and/or resources strongly desired.
- Programming experience is an asset.
- Ability to integrate generic and specialized technological solutions (e.g., screen readers, smart phone apps, etc.).
- Positive and collaborative, with strong skills working within and across teams; strong skills in conflict resolution and solution-focused problem-solving.
- Knowledgeable about copyright and AODA Communication Standards related to the acquisition, creation, and use of alternative format materials.
- High aptitude and commitment to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organizational, planning, coordinating, and multi-tasking skills with demonstrated ability to manage the delivery of numerous complex and demanding tasks and competing deadlines. Ability to assign tasks and set priorities.
- Ability to travel between campuses.
- Demonstrated commitment in delivering excellent service to others as this is key in supporting the success of our students and our College.
- Strong communication, collaboration, teamwork, and people skills.
- Effective ability to interact with others and deal with situations in ways that respect diverse backgrounds, experience, and styles.
- Flexibility in adapting to change and in participating in consultative decision-making processes.

**Hours of Work: 8:30 am - 5:00 pm**
