Decision Support Specialist

Quality Measurement & Clinical Decision Support (QM&CDS)

Quality Measurement & Clinical Decision Support (QM&CDS) provides leadership and expertise in the development of integrated analytics and methodologies for measurement to support quality and process improvement, patient safety, patient experience, and strategic plan initiatives. Primary sources of data managed by QM&CDS include the Patient Safety Reporting System, Resident Assessment Instruments, the National Rehabilitation Reporting System, and Workload Measurement System, as well as the Ontario Structured Psychotherapy Iaptus system for Ontario Health West Region (OH West).

As a Specialist in QM&CDS, you will support processes for the development of population analytics and program-based monthly and quarterly reports to support program development, operational monitoring and decision making for the Ontario Structured Psychotherapy Program, OH West. The Specialist role utilizes knowledge of GIS, PCCF, and Canada Census data to provide spatial analysis. The Specialist role will work collaboratively with team members in the development of analytics and reports to meet program needs.

The Specialist role will develop and maintain standard processes to maximize data quality, documentation standards and compliance, including audit and pro-active communication.

**Essential Qualifications**
- Knowledge of a Safety Culture in a Health Care Setting in compliance with the OHSA
- Bachelor's degree in GIS, Geography, Environmental Studies, Geomatics or equivalent
- 2 years experience working with population data sets, including experience using PCCF and Canada Census data for spatial analysis
- Proficiency with Esri ArcGIS Pro 3.x
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in data conversion, database management, GIS digitization, and analysis
- Capability to produce high quality cartographic products
- Proficient with all Microsoft Office Suite products and demonstrated advanced knowledge and experience with Excel functions
- Demonstrated excellence in interpersonal as well as written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to demonstrate tact and diplomacy with varied groups of stakeholders including frontline staff, physicians, and administrators
- Ability to work independently and in an interdisciplinary team setting
- Proven organization skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize competing demands
- Demonstrated ability to offer and receive constructive feedback with fellow team members.
- Demonstrated self-awareness and an understanding of personal strengths and weaknesses in pursuit of continuous improvement

**Preferred Qualifications**
- Proficiency in French would be an asset

**Teaching and Research**
- St Joseph's Health Care London through its affiliation with Western University and Fanshawe College is a leading research and teaching hospital. As an employee of St Joseph's you will be expected to engage in role related teaching and research activities in addition to any of your clinical duties

**Immunization Requirements**
- Provide documentation you have received two doses of the Covid-19 vaccine (primary series, boosters and/or XBB) OR one dose of XBB vaccine at least 14 days prior to the start date
- Provide vaccination records or proof of immunity against measles, mumps rubella and varicella (chicken pox)
- Provide documentation of the Tuberculosis skin testing
