TMX Datalinx falls under the Global Solutions, Insights & Analytics business line. TMX Datalinx is the Information Services division of TMX. TMX Datalinx provides real-time proprietary subscription products, proprietary data feeds (real-time and delayed), proprietary indices and benchmarks, historical data products, colocation services, and an Analytics platform to customers globally. TMX Datalinx is headquartered in Toronto, with sales offices in London, New York and Chicago.

We're hiring a Buy Side Account Manager that will focus their activities on prospecting new business within current Buy Side relationships and also acquiring new customers and accounts within the North American Buy Side market while being based in Toronto.

The Account Manager will be passionate about growing TMX Datalinx revenues and selling the full product suite including: TMX Datalinx proprietary data feeds (real-time or delayed), Canadian equity and derivatives market microstructure analytics, historical, reference and corporate actions data for Canadian fixed income, equities and derivatives. Datasets also include global benchmark and indices data and capabilities, global corporate events, sentiment and ESG datasets.

Reports to: Global Head of Sales

Key accountabilities:

- Understand the structure, business and in particular, the potential for TMX Datalinx products within the North American Buy Side landscape in order to identify and sell to both existing and new clients
- Research, build, and lead a sales pipeline of new and prospective customers for TMX Datalinx
- Lead in the preparation and execution of pitch meetings with existing and prospective clients including customer research, customer need identification, and solution based selling
- Present, promote and sell our products to existing and new prospects and customers to achieve established gross sales targets
- Partner effectively with Product Managers & Sales Specialists to develop, communicate and sell a full suite of TMX Datalinx products and services

Must haves:

- 5 - 10 years experience in strategic selling of capital markets data products to the North American Buy Side community
- Proven track record to prospect, identify and close business within current client base as well as new clients
- Expert knowledge of the financial services landscape and ecosystem across North America
- Experienced in connecting with key decision-makers while using the existing network to achieve sales targets
- Excellent oral and written communication style, presentation skills and overall a self-starter that effectively copes with ambiguity

Nice to haves:

- Knowledge of technology delivery and solutions relevant to market data
- Experience in collaborating with front, middle and back office clients and effective project planning
