We are currently seeking a highly motivated **Regulatory Affairs Student (4 month contract)** to join our team. This role will provide regulatory support and will oversee all regulatory issues within the health and wellness/ sport nutrition industry. This will include ensuring regulatory compliance with Health Canada and timely approvals for all product brands by coordinating, preparing and managing all product submissions. This position is available from May 2024 to September 2024.

**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Assist with maintaining all company Standard Operating Procedures.
- Assist with ensuring all Regulatory and QA policies, guidelines and regulations are being adhered to by all departments within the Company.
- Complete Health Canada Product License Applications for natural health products.
- Prepare Site License amendments for new manufacturers.
- Assist in the review of regulatory labeling and promotional materials to ensure compliance with Canadian/provincial regulations.
- Assist with ensuring post-market regulatory requirements for respective brands are met including review of Finished Product Certificate of Analysis and stability testing.
- Send products for third party testing to validate label claims and product quality.
- Provide input on regulatory-related issues associated with compliance and achieving a business plan for all brands.
- Participate in discussions with Health Canada and the Canadian Food Inspection Agency through regular meetings, discussions, audits and training resources to maintain a trusted relationship.
- Assist with preparing and/or review responses to product recalls and external audits.
- Assist with internal audits to review the effectiveness of the current Quality Management System.
- Assist with maintaining updates on product registrations and submissions including preparing management reports.
- Assist with reviewing Change Controls and determine filing requirements.
- Maintain current awareness of regulatory guidelines (Health Canada, CFIA, FDA, etc.) including reviewing regulatory publications.
- Other duties as required.
- **REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE**:

- Enrolled in or a recent graduate of a Regulatory Affairs Program from a certified college (ie., Humber or Seneca Program)
- Some knowledge of natural health/ sports nutrition products would be an asset.
- Knowledge of Health Canada and Canadian Food Inspection Agency regulations.
- High attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a cross-functional team environment.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with time sensitive deadlines.
- Ability to work independently.
- Strong organization, multi-tasking, time management skills.
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
- Computer skills (Microsoft Office)
