**Campus to Community Coordinator**

Under the direction of the Manager, Student Life, the Campus to Community Coordinator will lead the development, coordination, promotion and facilitation of Mohawk College’s Campus to Community volunteer program and Co-Curricular Record programming designed to support the personal, academic, social and developmental growth and success of Mohawk students. This includes using current research and best practices in community building, volunteer engagement, and student affairs and development to develop student learning outcomes and inform programmatic initiatives.

**Responsibilities**:
The duties of this position include, but are not limited to:
**Coordinates the Campus to Community Program through the Student Life Office**
- Acts as the primary point of contact for all community partners. Coordinates all project agreements and Memorandums of Understanding.
- Coordinates the recruitment of student leads and volunteers for Campus to Community program. Oversees the work of the Student Leads and provides guidance on projects and community partner relationships
- Works collaboratively with community organizations to develop meaningful Campus to Community volunteer opportunities for Mohawk students and partners
- Oversees student participation and tracks attendance for Campus to Community initiatives
- Assesses Campus to Community programming and reports results on a monthly basis
- Coordinates the implementation of new projects related to programming areas
- Monitors Campus to Community budget and ensures accurate spending and reporting
- Conduct annual program assessment and review to provide recommendations to the Manager, Student Life
- Participate in communities of practice, conduct research on student development theory and experiential learning, and remain current in best practices in student leadership and community-based learning

**Coordinates the Implementation of the Mohawk College Co-curricular Record, and Leads the Student Volunteer Program**
- ** **Assists community agencies and college partners with developing positions and learning outcomes for the Co-curricular Record
- Liaises with community agencies interested in listing volunteer opportunities to students
- Develops and maintains an active database of student volunteer and leadership opportunities
- Develops a communications strategy to inform students about volunteering and ‘getting involved’ on and off campus, including the maintenance and upkeep of the volunteer listing site
- Chairs the monthly Co-Curricular Record committee meetings and validating sessions
- Assists students with updating CCR records on an individual basis
- Leads the general maintenance of the Co-Curricular Record catalogue, and facilitates the CCR module software upgrades

**Markets and Promotes Campus to Community, Volunteering and CCR**
- ** **Supports and implements marketing initiatives for students, staff, community and employers about the Co-curricular record, Campus to Community and volunteering on campus
- Shares student and community success stories with campus marketing and public relations departments
- Maintains an online presence through social media and the website promoting student community services
- Facilitates the annual Volunteer Fair and provides opportunities for community partners to engage with students on campus

**Supports Student Leadership Activities on Campus**
- ** **Actively supports the Mohawk Student Leadership Development Series
- Assists with organization and support for MoCrew student leaders
- Encourages and assists with recruiting new volunteers and student leaders
- Assists with student leader and volunteer training for Student Life events, eg. Day One, Mohawk Student Leadership Academy
- Develops and implements new session content and engaging materials

Other duties as assigned.

**Qualifications**:

- A minimum three year post secondary diploma/degree or equivalent education and experience in Human Services, Recreation, Volunteer Management, Social Sciences, Leadership, Project Management.
