GPI is currently looking to fill the position of **FINISHING ASSISTANT**, at our Winnipeg, Manitoba facility. The finishing department is an integral part of the production process. Individuals must understand and align with business operations as s/he executes their role to exceed customer expectations and align with GPI’s business, cultural, financial and operational objectives.

**Responsibilities/Duties**:

- Job functions include, but are not limited to the following:_
- Responsible for producing, inspecting and shipping products
- Working as part of a team to maximize productivity and efficiency in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to learn new tasks
- Repetitive work
- Ensure compliance to all company and safety rules and requirements
- Other duties as assigned

**Requirements/Education**:

- Manufacturing experience or experience in the print industry strongly preferred
- High School Diploma or equivalent is required
- Must be able to work rotating shifts of 8 and/or 12 hours. Employees work alternate schedules including early mornings, nights, and/or weekends, and are expected to be punctual.

**Physical Demands**:

- Standing for extended periods
- Awkward and/or repetitive movements
- Ability to lift 5-45 lbs
- Computer literacy
- Use of various hand and electrical equipment/tools
- Able to work in areas of fluctuating temperatures

This position will be paid as per the collective agreement.
