**Job description**

Ideal Gear and Machine Works Inc. is seeking an experienced Accounting Clerk to ensure our company’s accounting functions run accurately and effectively. Day-to-day responsibilities may include totalling, batching, entering, verifying, and reconciling transactions such as accounts payable and receivable, payroll, purchase orders, cheques, invoices, cheque requisitions, and bank statements. Other responsibilities will include the compilation of budget data and documents based on estimated revenues, expenses and previous budgets, and the performance of related clerical and administrative duties.

**Responsibilities**
- Research, track, and resolve accounting problems
- Handle accounts payable and receivable duties
- Transaction Reconciliation
- Data Entry
- Develop budgeting reports and documentation
- Associated clerical duties
- Interacting with management, customers, and vendors
- Preparing bank deposits, general ledger postings and statements
- Periodically assist with clerical and accounting duties for related entities

**Qualifications**
- Accounting designation or extensive experience
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar accounting role
- Knowledge of accepted accounting rules as it relates to accounting clerk responsibilities
- Excellent analytical, financial, and mathematical abilities
- Effective communication skills with individuals at all levels of the organization
- Intermediate proficiency with the MS Office, databases, and accounting software
- Can quickly adapt and learn new computer software and tools
- Good organizational, time management and prioritizing skill
- High attention to detail in all areas of work

**Additional Skills and Preferred Qualifications**
- Knowledge of the mining and manufacturing industries
- Experience with Visual Manufacturing, Quickbooks

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
