**Description**:
Reporting to the Plant Manager & Brew Master, you will be responsible for set-up and operation of the beer/cider/soda canning Line, support the Plant Manager in maintenance, monitoring fermentation, and participating in beer quality assessment among other tasks.
**Responsibilities**:Includes (but not limited to):
- Setting up and shutting down the canning line - includes changes between different cartons/cans, conveying, dating/coding, labeling and tray forming.
- Operating the canning line throughout the week - includes monitoring operation, ensuring the line equipment operates smoothly. Logging relevant information into brewery management software.
- Performing basic QC and QA testing as required (measuring CO2 and O2 levels, pH, gravities, etc.) and contribute to identifying QC problem areas and developing solutions.
- Support the Plant Manager in canning line maintenance and repairs.
- Monitoring fermentation (may include weekends in rotation with other staff).
- Wastewater system management.
- Update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Participate in beer quality assessment sensory panels as required.
- Assist with regulatory and health & safety compliance within the brewery.
- Supporting the production team as required to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the brewery.
- Mechanical aptitude is required. Post-Secondary Diploma in technical program (Electronic Systems, Electromechanical, Industrial Mechanical, etc.) two years practical field experience is an asset.
- Sound technical aptitude, skills, and approach (electrical, mechanical, automation, etc.).
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently, show initiative and exercise good judgement in decision making.
- Ability to multi-task, be flexible and acquire new skills.
- Capable of troubleshooting issues and working through challenges and changes.
- Proficient computer skills (Microsoft Excel, Word, etc.).
- Capable of working in a role with moderate physical requirements including extended periods of standing, bending, twisting, lifting, etc.
