Craft Coast Canning Ltd. is a mobile craft beverage canning operation that services the Maritime craft beverage market. Our clients include prominent craft beer and cider producers in the region.

We supply cans, packaging materials, brewery chemicals, scientific instruments, and other adjunct materials for craft brewing. In addition to our popular mobile canning service, our other services include graphic design, quality control, co-packaging, laboratory testing, repair & maintenance of packaging equipment, engineering, and consulting services for everyone from small craft breweries to international brands.

**About the role**:
The Mobile Canning Technician will be responsible for the daily management of the NS crew to ensure daily completion of tasks, provide leadership, and perform some administrative tasks such as tracking crew hours and submitting expenses. This role is a combination of front-line and strategic leadership and will work closely with the NS team and customers while reporting directly to the Mobile Canning Manager for NS and NB. Responsible for monitoring the overall canning process, enforcing quality, maintenance, and safety standards, and assisting with troubleshooting.

**Location**:
Craft Coast Canning Ltd. is based in Fredericton, NB. Although our Warehouses and Production facilities are based outside of Fredericton, we service the entire Maritimes. We have a warehouse located in Nova Scotia, to serve better our customers in this area, however, this role will be primarily shifting among our customers’ facilities.

**Responsibilities**:

- Travelling to customer facilities and arriving at agreed times for canning production
- Work closely with another operator while on the job
- Install, align, dismantle, and move canning machinery and other equipment, such as compressors, printer, using hand and power tools in different breweries
- Set up the machine and do the changeover if required according to the can size
- Inspect the can quality with precision and measuring tools
- Do the seam test, check the seam dimensions, and make sure everything is within the range
- Do the seam adjustments if required
- Read blueprints, diagrams, and schematic drawings of the machine to determine the error
- Inspect and examine machinery and equipment to detect and investigate irregularities and malfunctions
- Install, troubleshoot, and maintain electrical & pneumatic systems
- Adjust canning machines and repair or replace defective parts
- Clean, lubricate and perform other routine maintenance work on canning machines
- Completing the daily shift reports and quality assurance reports for each canning day and submitting them on the same day
- Ensuring the Craft Coast Canning’s standard for customer experience, product quality, seam integrity, and sanitization of the machines are upheld
- Customer interactions and taking customer feedback and suggestions to improve the canning process
- Ensuring that driving company vehicles are following the corporate policies and provincial /local laws
- Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties in this role

**Applicants should have the following minimum qualifications**:

- A valid driver’s license, with a clean driving record.
- High school diploma.
- Technical skills (you will be setting up, operating, and troubleshooting automated packaging equipment).
- Flexibility with hours and duties, and a willingness to travel frequently.
- A strong interest in the craft beverage industry.
- Solid leadership, teamwork, and collaboration skills.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills with customers.
- Strong creative thinking and problem-solving skills.
