Reporting to the Supervisor, the Clinical Assistant is primarily responsible for assisting the Clinical Liaison with the following duties, including but not limited to: loaner equipment, implementation of equipment in SPM, and acting as a liaison between MDRD, Surgical Services, as well as CPSM and end units, to ensure that communication is maintained between all services. In addition, this position is responsible for the following duties: Providing support and guidance to all Certified Medical Device Reprocessing Technician (CMDRT) staff involved in assembling and processing instruments, equipment, and supplies for all Surgical Services. Will assume charge and closing duties as required. Capacity to organize and lead formal and informal staff education. This position will ensure the duties and assignments of the Clinical Liaison and Clinical Assistant flow seamlessly during the MDRD operating hours; some flexibility in working hours may be required for training and other purposes as deemed necessary by leadership.

**Required Qualifications**:
High School Diploma Completion of a CSA CMDRT Certification Current CMDRT Certification status A minimum of 2 years recent experience in a surgical reprocessing role.

**Additional Required Qualifications**:
Extensive knowledge of surgical instruments.
