Reporting to the Supervisor, the Clinical Assistant is primarily responsible for assisting the Clinical Liaison with the following duties, including but not limited to loaner equipment, implementation of equipment in SPM, and acting as a liaison between MDRD, Surgical Services, as well as CPSM and end units, to ensure that communication is maintained between the services. In addition, this position is responsible for the following duties: Providing leadership, in-service education, training, and guidance to all Certified Medical Device Reprocessing Technician (CMDRT) staff involved in assembling and processing instruments, equipment, and supplies for all Surgical Services. Utilizing relevant standards of practice (CSA, Infection Control, ORNAC, etc.) to develop, implement and promote best and cost effective practices. Will be required to assume charge and closing duties when the supervisor is unavailable. May be required to in-service end units on MDR instrumentation and procedures.

**Required Qualifications**:
High School Diploma Completion of a CSA CMDRT Certification A minimum of 3 years¿ experience in a Working Lead or related leadership role. Completed training/courses (i.e., Infection Control, Institutional Management, LEADS, WHMIS)

**Additional Required Qualifications**:
High School Diploma Completion of a CSA CMDRT Certification A minimum of 3 years¿ experience in a Working Lead or related leadership role. Completed training/courses (i.e., Infection Control, Institutional Management, LEADS, WHMIS).

**Preferred Qualifications**:
Excellent skills in leadership, communication, team building, conflict resolution, staff motivation and change management. Skills in facilitating group decision making, planning, organizing and prioritizing workload. Clinical understanding of program functionality. Computer literacy and skills.
