**Your Opportunity**:
Reporting to the Manager, Knowledge Exchange this position will lead the evaluation and measurement support for the My Recovery Plan (MRP) initiative. AHS collaborates with the Last Door Recovery Service (LDRS) to conduct an implementation evaluation of MRP. Data will be collected from clients, managers, and navigators. This position also supports other provincial evaluation projects including Promotion, Prevention & Community Initiatives, and professional development areas. As a member of the Knowledge Exchange team, this position will provide senior support to knowledge translation work, including providing consultation on knowledge translation plans, discussing implementation strategies, helping produce knowledge translation products, providing literature summaries, and evaluating knowledge translation activities and large-scale Knowledge Translation activities.

**Description**:
As a Research Officer II, you will be part of the Knowledge, Performance & Integrated Planning that provides support for evidence-informed decision making and accountability in the provincial portfolio of Addiction and Mental Health. The functions of the team include: planning, business analysis, data analysis and reporting, research, evaluation and knowledge exchange. Given general direction and scope, you will plan, organize and conduct major provincial projects including setting goals and objectives, defining and managing projects to timelines and budgets, and staffing and supervising junior researchers. You will work collaboratively with key Addiction and Mental Health stakeholders, identifying clear and accomplishable projects and provide support in situations where needs are ambiguous and where conflicting views, goals and priorities are present. Using a collaborative approach, you will plan, conduct, and manage evaluation and performance measurement provincial level projects. Typical steps in these projects include defining and negotiating project scope, reviewing relevant literature, conducting assessments of program evaluability, designing relevant measures and measurement procedures, defining appropriate IT requirements, developing appropriate project plans, conducting/coordinating evaluation research projects, conducting data analyses, report writing, developing implications and recommendations from the research and communicating research results. Using your writing techniques, you will assist in producing reports, papers and related products to inform a range of audiences and a wide variety of stakeholders. This position is expected to translate study results into effective oral and written communication materials.

**Required Qualifications**:
Completion of master's degree in a health related field. Active or eligible for registration with the applicable college.

**Additional Required Qualifications**:
Minimum 3 years in an applied research setting with some supervisory experience. Specific experience in social program evaluation and/or performance measurement in a health/social services agency.

**Preferred Qualifications**:
Master’s degree in the social or behavioural sciences, social work or health care administration with a research design background and a substantive focus in an area relevant to addictions research.
