This technician position is with Pirate Cove Marina (a subsidiary of Leisure Days RV Group).

**Overview**:
As a Technician you will be performing pre-delivery inspections, accurately diagnosing, and repairing a variety of technical issues, inspecting, and adjusting, or overhauling marine recreational vehicles and trailers.

You will be responsible for maintaining a clean work environment, participating in training, assisting co-workers, completing jobs with efficiency and other tasks as required.

Technicians know a little bit about everything such as electrical, plumbing, carpentry, flooring, etc. If you can do any one of these, we’ll teach you the rest

**Reports To**: Service Manager

**Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities**:

- Examine/troubleshoot and diagnose units needing repair and maintenance.
- Discuss repairs and communicate additional requests with the shop foreman and service advisor.
- Provide plan work procedures and labor time estimates to the service advisor and shop foreman.
- Use testing equipment / troubleshooting techniques / manufacturers specs and internet websites.
- Monitor repair time and update service advisor regularly.
- Maintain strict adherence to dealership policies on boat care and operation.
- Complete story and/or documentation for client repairs.
- Assist in mentoring mobile technician trainees (if required).
- Attend company and factory training and keep current with factory technical bulletins.
- Understand and follow federal, provincial, and local regulations (such as disposal of hazardous waste).

- Attention to detail, neat and orderly, general good health, and physical ability.

**Qualifications**:

- High school diploma or GED (general equivalency diploma); or 6 months to 2 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Previous technician and forklift experience preferred and considered an asset (2-3 years preferred).
- Valid driver's license and Technician Certification are desirable.

**Salary**: $20.00-$21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 - 45 per week
