**The Role**:
We are currently searching for a** Payroll Administrator** reporting to the Manager, Payroll. This is a **6-month Full-Time Contract **opportunity. The Payroll Administrator will assist the Payroll Specialist in delivering the timely and accurate processing of weekly and bi-weekly payrolls full time and part-time employees in both a unionized and non-unionized environment. All payrolls, which must adhere to Company Policies, Legislation, Employee Standards and Collective Agreements, must be completed within tight time frames. This position is also responsible for providing HR administrative services to the employees and managers of TBS/BDL by processing all new hires, terminations, changes, transfers, RRSP, Record of Employments (ROE) and T4s.

**Location**:
Our Corporate Office is located in Bolton, ON. We offer Remote/Hybrid Flex work with visits into the office depending on the role and function. The incumbent for this role must possess a valid drivers license with access to transportation to travel to our Corporate Office approximately 1-2 times per week, and on an as needed basis.

**What You'll Be Doing**:

- Verify payroll hours, earning codes, and correct errors.
- Calculate and track hours and leave time; assist with pay-outs as per Union Agreements.
- Liaise with HR and Team Managers on payroll changes and provide backup support.
- Address inquiries from employees and managers regarding pay, leave, and HRMS issues.
- Work with HR departments on employee movements, compensation, and benefits.
- Provide necessary information to auditors and prepare payroll reports.
- Complete numerous weekly Audits & Reports including; workflow reports, new hire audits, promotions, terminations, union dues, weekly adjusments, etc.
- Process daily workflow submissions; banking audits, terminations, personal information changes, etc.
- Step Progression Reports & Hours Adjustments
- Document Management including printing and mailing of advices,triage and organize returned mail at Corporate Office for payroll department.
- Act as backup for ROE's process.
- Annual reporting and processes including New Year T4 administration, Iron Mountain service, supplies ordering, postage prep and other annual payout processes
- Other duties and projects as assigned.

**Who You Are - Your Knowledge, Skills & Experience**:
**Education**:

- Completion of High School and/or GED equivalent required
- Canadian Payroll Association (CPA) Certificate would be an asset
- Valid drivers license with access to a vehicle required

**Experience**:

- 3-5 years of hands-on payroll experience in a unionized environment
- SAP Success Factors and Workforce Software experience would be an asset

**Skills**:

- Demonstrates time management skills by maintaining focus on priority tasks and understanding the time requirements.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Solid customer service skills: ability to handle difficult customers, answer customer inquiries, follow-up with third party vendors, create and manage effective relationships with all levels of the company
- Strong problem solving skills: able to define the problem and generate appropriate solutions in a timely manner
- Excellent analytical skills with strong mathematical aptitude to help digest data.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with diplomacy and tact
- The ability to acquire in depth knowledge of Company Policies, Guidelines, and Procedures
- Possess strong working knowledge of provincial and federal legislative requirements, ensuring payroll is administrated in adherence to multiple Collective Bargaining Agreements
- Excellent levels of communication both verbal and written
- A dynamic team-player with willingness to jump in and help when needed
