Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Payroll Administrator to join our team at Northeast Engineering and Development ltd. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our payroll processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Payroll Processing: Calculate and prepare cheques for payroll, prepare statements of earnings for employees, and reconcile issued payrolls to bank statements.
  • Financial Data Management: Store, update, and retrieve financial data, and maintain records of employee attendance, leave, and overtime.
  • Benefits Administration: Prepare and submit documentation for administration of benefits, such as pension plans, leaves, and employment insurance.
  • Communication: Inform employees about payroll matters and benefit plans, and provide excellent oral and written communication.
Requirements
  • Education: College/CEGEP diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a payroll or financial role.
  • Language: Fluency in English.
  • Work Hours: 40 hours per week.
Personal Suitability
  • Accurate: Ensure accuracy in all payroll and financial tasks.
  • Client Focus: Provide excellent service to employees and management.
  • Organized: Maintain organized records and files.
