Job Summary

Northeast Engineering and Development ltd is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Payroll Administrator to join our team. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our payroll processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Payroll Processing: Calculate and prepare cheques for payroll, prepare statements of earnings for employees, and reconcile issued payrolls to bank statements.
  • Financial Data Management: Store, update, and retrieve financial data, and maintain records of employee attendance, leave, and overtime.
  • Benefits Administration: Complete and submit documentation for administration of benefits such as pension plans, leaves, share savings, employment, and medical insurance.
  • Employee Communication: Inform employees about payroll matters and benefit plans.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Prepare and balance period-end reports, and provide data for management decision-making.
Requirements
  • Education: College/CEGEP diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: 1 to less than 7 months of experience in payroll administration.
  • Language: Fluency in English.
  • Work Hours: 40 hours per week.
