**INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SUPERVISOR - FULL-TIME, PERMANENT**

The Information Technology Supervisor position leads and supervises the provision of technology support for services to the public and Brantford Public Library administrative operations.

The Library’s technology enhances all services and enriches the experience of customers using them. Through collaboration with Library Management and staff, the position will be responsible for understanding business requirements and coordinating business solutions improvements and integration to meet these requirements.

The role will develop and manage projects to implement business solutions improvements, integrations, infrastructure and information security**. **This role will also be responsible for the supervision of Library unionized IT staff, including task assignment and performance management, and will ensure that all service requests are addressed in a timely manner.

**Salary Range**: $64,217.00 to $75,550.00

**Hours of Work**: Monday to Friday - 35 hours per week - Day Shift

**Qualifications**:
Post-Secondary Education in Information Technology, Computer Science or a Business Degree

Project Management Certification such as PMP or CAPM (desirable)

Recognized Solutions Analyst Certification such as Associate Computing Professional (ACP)

Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and applicable IT software required

Valid G-class License and access to a vehicle

**Responsibilities**:
**Supervision and Leadership**:
Deals with challenges and issues, managing resolutions, corrective actions, lessons learned, and the collection and dissemination of relevant information to meet the technology needs of staff and customers, to enhance their library experience, and to meet the requirements of the Library’s Strategic Plan

Supervises the effective monitoring, maintenance and optimization of all equipment, hardware and software, Internet-based services, mobile devices, self-service, wireless access, public and staff computers and networks

Collaborates with management and staff teams to ensure the effective and efficient delivery of system-wide library services, in order to fulfil the Library’s strategic objectives

Facilitates business decision-making processes; captures and disseminates technical and business information

Coordinates the day to day work of the Technology Support Technician, assigning tasks and monitoring performance

Coaches IT staff in developing target skills and capabilities

Directs the development, delivery, evaluation and prioritization of all technological support services to meet the needs of staff and customers, to enhance their library experience, and to meet the requirements of the Library’s Strategic Plan

Develops short and long-term technology plans

Supervises the delivery of services, ensuring that agreed service levels, security requirements and other quality standards are met. Ensures adherence to relevant policies and procedures

**Technologies and Relationships**:
Monitors and communicates new technology trends of potential value to the Library

Manages IT related projects including responsibility for the provision of support services to projects

Adopts holistic view to identify and analyze problems and opportunities and contributes to the recommendation of improvements

Engages and collaborates with a wide range of staff, including those at the Management level

Ensures that service delivery (IT ticket system) is tracked and monitored, metrics and reports are analyzed, and issues are resolved

Monitors the performance of technology services and provides status reports to Managers

Identifies and manages resources needed for budgeting, estimating, planning, developing and delivering a specified portfolio of technology services and systems

Reviews IT related business cases (requirements, potential benefits and options) and determines appropriate procurement routes

Contributes to the development of pre-qualification questionnaires, RFPs and tenders, using market knowledge to inform specifications

Evaluates tenders and RFPs based on specification and evaluation criteria, and provides recommendations to contracts and service level agreements

Leads the assessment, analysis, development, documentation and implementation of changes

Monitors and reports on supplier performance, customer satisfaction, and adherence to security requirements. Validates that suppliers’ performance is in accordance with contract terms

Engages proactively and collaboratively with suppliers to resolve incidents, problems, or unsatisfactory perform
