**Job Description**:
**Maintenance/Health & Safety Supervisor**
Our Maintenance/Health & Safety Supervisor is an integral part of our team, focusing on Maintenance and providing support with all areas of Facilities. Join Fairmont Waterfront and take part in the sustainable travel revolution at our harbor-front, eco-conscious hotel, which is home to Vancouver's first green roof and a honey bee apiary

**What you will be doing**:
**Maintenance**
- Work closely with the Facilities leadership team to exceed guest and staff expectations of the property
- Administration of the Preventative Maintenance plan/system
- Scheduling and assignment of tasks to the engineering team
- Scheduling and coordination of contract work on specific projects
- Inspection of rooms, public areas and Heart of House for condition and quality of work
- Maintain inventory. order parts, supplies, tools and materials

**Health & Safety**
- Assist with Health & safety audits with recommendations and follow ups
- Safety and security training on emergency procedures, fire drills etc.
- Maintain Occupational First Aid level 2 certification
- Assist with duties and administration of the Joint Occupational Health & Safety Committee
- Assist with WorksafeBC Certificate of Recognition (COR) audit
- Regular floor walks of public areas and responding to incidents when the Guest Experience and Facilities Manager is not on site

**Qualifications**:
**Your experience and skills include**:

- Experience in Maintenance an asset
- Experience in management of Health & Safety issues an asset
- Highly organized, results-oriented with the ability to be flexible and perform well under pressure in a fast-paced, changing environment
- High degree of competency in Microsoft Office, and aptitude to learn hotel specific systems
- Proactive with a meticulous eye for detail
- Strong communication skills including active listening, problem solving, and diplomacy
- Comfortable dealing with security related issues, and persons under stress.
- Occupational First Aid training an asset
- Availability for a variety of shifts including weekends and stat holidays
