Tsubaki of Canada Limited (TCL) has had an internal promotion, so we are seeking to fill the position of “Inventory Control & Warehouse Assistant.” This role will be responsible for managing the company's inventory, and ensuring that inventory levels are accurate and that inventory is kept in a cost-effective manner.
Principal Responsibilities and duties:
- **Inventory Integrity**
- Daily Transaction Audit: Run reports to check on employee tasks. 10 pick tasks per Order Picker. 10 pick tasks per Chain Table staff. 10 pick tasks per Code 1 person. 10 Receipts (PO or PUT AWAY). 10 Cycle Count tasks.
- Create and post a report that identifies and shows data obtained.
- Run cycle count program. Ensure it is up-to-date. Perform secondary counts. Run reports. Manage documents.
- Keep the Supervisor informed of progress through fixed reporting.
- Assist Quality staff regarding fixing work orders, product allocations, product substitution, work order re-print, and product scrapping.
- Assist Code 1 staff regarding fixing work orders, product allocations, product substitution, and work order re-print.
- Run inventory reports and send them to the Supervisor/Manager that identifies inventory value (as of). The total value of all cycle counts. Total # of pcs lost/gained.
- Keep locations clean. ML1 (should have no stock), GREYAREA (kept clean physically and in QAD), CONVEYOR 1 & 2 (investigate stock every monday, transfer/adjust as neccessary), BLANK locations, PACKXX locations. WEEKLY.
- Monitor ALL stage locations WEEKLY. This includes STAGE-TC, STAGE-US, STAGE-ED & STAGE-CH. Work with receiver to ensure locations are kept clean.
- Perform WOCLOSE and R50B01 count and reconciliation (MONTHLY).
- Perform intersite (BO10 to 10, 10 to BO10) product transfers. (**_When needed)._**
- Identify, correct and fix root cause of negative stock. Ensure stock counts are done for **each **item after correction. Weekly.
**FLOOR PRIME**
**Manage Daily Shipping & OrderQue**
- Ensure all open AIM actions are completed within associated time frame. Ensure open picks are picked, checked and shipped ON TIME. Manage Order Que, shift priorities as required. **_DAILY_**
- Shift/move manpower on the floor to ensure work is being done and that all staff is being kept busy.
- Pack and Check orders as nessessary (if/when busy).
- Randomly check all Shipping Staff work and ensure packaging is up to TCL standards. Bring any deviations to Supervisors attention before logging the non-compliance.
- Record ALL INTERNAL picking/packing errors into the Internal Error Logbook.
- Ensure Customers are not kept waiting for lengthy periods of time in the Customer Waiting area.
- Actively participate in improving shipping processes by discovering root causes of potential errors and recommending and/or suggesting and implementing solutions to avoid them.
- Logs any behavioural/attitude/non-compliance/insubordination issues and in coordination with Warehouse Supervisor advises on and (after review and approval) can help to discipline staff when needed.
**Customer Service**
- Answer any and all (in an expedient and professional manner) internal calls and pages with a quick and accurate response.
- Answer quickly and effectively any picker/checker/receiver/stocker/leader questions about stock, RF issues, labelling issues, etc.
**REPORTING**
**Monthly **Reports**:
- Quarantine, BAR area, R50B01, WOCLOSE, Prod Rows count data with explanations/notes.
- Negative Stock Reports. Ensure that at the end of every month their is ZERO negative stock.
- ML1, GREYAREA, BLANK locations, Conveyor 1/2 locations, PACKXX. Ensure at the end of every month all inventory in these locations are correct and accounted for.
**Weekly **Reports**:
- ALL STAGE Locations - with explanations of what is in stock and why. When rec'd, what it is for, etc.
- Employee Transaction Audit Checking - Summary of previous weeks checks and what was found by person, by day.
- Maintain Yearly report and input weekly data into Monthly/Yearly report.
- Post Pick/Checks/Packs/Receipts/Put away Tasks by person. Weekly summary + enter into
- Monthly/Yearly worksheet.
- Lost Inventory Report (I want to know what was written off per week ("lost" items). All cyc-RCNT
- transactions with items, qty, total cost...summarized. I want a running report covering 1 full year, data input weekly.
