**Mission**

We are looking for a CAD Specialist that will be assisting the design team in managing the CAD environment and infrastructure. The CAD specialist will work closely with the discipline leads and Project Managers to setup projects, manage and registered client specs, administer people access to the various databases. The CAD Specialist will also provide support to users and training as required to the teams.

**Primary Responsibilities**
- Support the project team in the design work on various industrial projects
- Ensure compliance of drawings to current guidelines, prescriptions, codes and regulations
- Design and produce plans in multidisciplinary engineering projects (mechanical and structural)
- Manage inputs/outputs of 3D models from both in-house and OEMs
- Support engineers and technicians less experienced in technical design and in the development of complex drawings
- Administer databases, ACC access, and project standards
- Provide support and training to technicians in other offices in solving problems related to databases and 3D models
- Be involved in the drafting of work procedures for the technical room and ensure that they are properly applied
- Support the CAD development team in the upgrade of CAD drawing software or computer tools related to the production of computer-aided drawings

**Profile**
- College degree in Mechanical, Civil Engineering, architecture or any combination of equivalent education or experience
- 8 - 10 years of experience in design work and CAD in civil or mechanical engineering
- Excellent practical knowledge of AutoCAD, Civil 3D, REVIT, PLANT3D, ACC
- Registration with ASET/ASTTBC/TPSask will be considered an asset
- Ability to train and respond to user requests
- Expertise in dimensioning, 3D modeling, model and database management of standards
- In-depth knowledge of Autodesk Plant 3D, Revit, Navisworks, Recap software
