**Summary**
- The Applications Specialist plays a lead role in developing and delivering hydraulic cylinder solutions. This role involves understanding customers' businesses, providing personalized solutions, and contributing to the design of safe and innovative solutions. The specialist will lead the entire sales cycle of complex sales from opportunity development to solution delivery, working closely with Manufacturing, Outside Sales, and Engineering teams.

**Job Responsibilities & Duties**:

- Qualify customer projects to ensure alignment with RHK's market and niche.
- Cultivate strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and providing customized solutions.
- Project manage the opportunities to quote using the sales process until passed to production.
- Prepare cost estimates, quotes, proposals, and document packages.
- Collaborate across departments for project scope and production estimates.
- Create project packages to pass to the operations group for execution.
- Conduct quotation and post-project reviews with the production team.
- Communicate with customers to address product issues, refine requirements, and explore opportunities for design improvement.
- Act as the liaison between production and the customer.
- Act as a liaison between sales and engineering.
- Stay updated on technologies to enhance RHK's products and services.
- Participate in sales planning and provide pricing and margin recommendations.
- Troubleshoot technical issues and recommend solutions.
- Visit customers to build relationships, understand project requirements, and address issues when required.
- Attend trade shows and industry events when required.

**Experience & Qualifications**
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering Technology, Engineering Design and Drafting or equivalent.
- Previous experience in manufacturing.
- Knowledge/experience in hydraulic cylinders, fluid power, and material grades and alloys considered an asset.
- Project Management experience a bonus.
- Ability to conceptualize and communicate technical requirements through drawings and sketches.
- Experience in reverse engineering/generating drawings in AutoCAD/Inventor
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple projects in order to meet firm deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong computer skills required. ERP, Proficient in Microsoft office suite, CAD software
- Communicates effectively in English (verbal and written
