**Job Scope**
Reporting to the Senior Instructor for Producing and the Head of Film Production, and working in conjunction with other film faculty and staff, the Part Time instructor Producing is tasked with the delivery of curriculum in a professional and engaging manner; student assessment and grading; and student interactions for all program-related activities. Throughout the program, the Part Time Producing instructor will instruct and mentor the designated Producing students on their productions, providing feedback, guidance, and support as the students execute their duties in the Producing role.
In conjunction with the other streams of the Film Program, the Producing instructor will instruct in a class room setting, support, and mentorship any students performing the Producer role while they are attending VFS.
**Core Responsibilities**
- Provide students with instruction based upon existing curriculum.
- Ensure that curriculum is delivered according to facilitate the course learning objectives, and VFS student centered teaching model
- Maintain a professional relationship with currently enrolled students.
- Monitor students' performance and provide assistance and mentoring when required; including problem solving, and conflict resolution.
- Class attendance and grading.
- Punctual and conscientious management of classes.
- Collaboration with the Senior Instructor for Producing and the Head of Department on the progression of courses.
- Collaboration with administration staff on resources and equipment issues.
- Collaboration with instructors from other Film Production streams in order to evaluate, mentor, and encourage students working on curriculum productions.
- Attendance at staff meetings.

**Job Qualifications**
- Post-secondary certificate, diploma, or degree or equivalent and/or three years of industry experience as a Producer.
- Teaching experience is an asset.
- Ability to lead workshops, lectures, and seminars.
- Excellent communication, organizational, time management, and interpersonal skills.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of Movie Magic Budgeting and Microsoft Office.
