**Position Overview**:
**Key Responsibilities**:
**Facility Maintenance**:

- Conduct regular inspections of the resort premises to identify maintenance needs.
- Coordinate and perform routine maintenance tasks such as plumbing, electrical work, HVAC systems, and general repairs.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and promptly address any issues that may pose a risk to guests or employees.
- Oversee the operation and maintenance of the pool facility.

**Supervision and Team Management**:

- Lead and supervise a team of maintenance staff, providing guidance, training, and support as needed.
- Manage scheduling for both daily operations and nightly on-call shifts.
- Delegate tasks effectively, prioritize workload, and ensure that all maintenance activities are carried out efficiently and to a high standard.
- Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.

**Budgeting and Planning**:

- Develop and manage the maintenance budget, ensuring that resources are allocated effectively to address immediate needs as well as long-term maintenance goals.
- Collaborate with resort management to identify areas for improvement and develop strategic plans for facility upgrades or renovations.
- Source and procure necessary supplies, equipment, and services while maintaining cost-effectiveness.

**Vendor Management**:

- Establish and maintain relationships with external vendors, contractors, and service providers.
- Solicit bids, negotiate contracts, and oversee the work of external parties to ensure quality, timeliness, and compliance with contractual agreements.
- Monitor vendor performance and address any issues or concerns in a timely manner.

**Qualifications and Skills**:

- Proven experience in facility maintenance, preferably in a hospitality or similar environment.
- Strong technical skills with proficiency in various trades such as plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry.
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
- Effective problem-solving abilities and the capacity to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Budget management experience and proficiency in Microsoft Office and maintenance management software.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed, and willingness to respond to emergencies outside of regular working hours.

**Education and Experience**:

- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant technical certifications or vocational training preferred.
- Previous experience in a maintenance supervisory or management role, preferably in the hospitality industry.
- Knowledge of local building codes, regulations, and industry standards related to facility maintenance.

Pay: $50,000.00-$62,000.00 per year
