Reporting to the Manager, Events, the Events Assistant will be an integral member of our team, responsible for assisting with the planning and execution of the Foundation's signature and community fundraising events. The role will also have accountabilities to an Events Officer and VP, Annual, Events & Operations in support of the events program in addition to having oversight of their own portfolio of third-party, community events.

**PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Support the Events team with administrative duties related to our signature and third-party events.
- Assist with preparation for committee meetings.
- Solicit and track in-kind donations for events and organize silent auctions associated with our events.
- Help design, produce and manage invitations for events.
- Administer third-party, community events.
- Recruit and oversee volunteers for signature events.
- Other duties as assigned.

**EDUCATION**
- Undergraduate degree or college degree with a specialization in fundraising or events management a plus.

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- 1-2 years applicable work experience.
- Knowledge of Raiser's Edge, Givergy and/or A.K.A. Raisin software programs an asset.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to effectively manage multiple priorities under tight timelines.
- Experience with event volunteers.
- Experience in securing in-kind donations.
- Demonstrated ability to work with others, including internal and external constituents, senior volunteers and donors, prospective event sponsors and event attendees.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Working knowledge of Adobe design software.
- Knowledge of social media an asset.
- Flexibility is necessary as this position will be required to work occasional weekends and evenings.

The salary range for this role is $52,500 to $65,000, with opportunity to progress to $77,500
